Htoo Eain Tin was born on the 1st of July, 1963, in the city of Pathein. His father was named U Tun Myint, and his mother was called Daw Mya Yin. The father was a Burman, and the mother a Mon. His real name was Kyaw Myint Lwin, and he was also given loving nicknames such as “Egg” and “Big Bird”.
Htoo Eain Tin completed his primary education from No. 20 A-Ma-Ka school, and later completed his secondary schooling from Pathein A-Hta-Ka 3. Around 1979 or 1980, he entered Pathein Regional College in Ayeyarwaddy District and graduated with a Botanical Major. Afterwards, in Mawlamyine, he studied music and musical notes from music instructor U Aung Soe (KC Francis).
Advertisements In 1968, he recorded his first album called “Teardrops on the Clock”. Following that were his well known works such as albums “A Sorcerer’s Dream”, “Silence”, “Ego Blocks”, “Tender Dream”, “Like Before”, “Speechless Sky”, “Htoo Eain Tin Unplugged Live”, “Longing for Moonlight in the City”, “Mother (or) The Gift of Love”, “Green Dates”, “One Day’s Misses”, and “Loving”. He did the recordings for his final album in Oasis Studio. On 14/08/2004, he passed away at 11:40 a.m. He left behind a wife, Thwe Thwe Htwe, and a daughter, Mi Koon Htaw.
Throughout his music career that span 17 years, starting with “Teardrops on the Clock” until “One Day’s Misses”, Htoo Eain Tin released 14 albums. He recorded nearly 200 songs. And the songs he wrote for himself as well as for other artists mount up to approximately 500.
